Over the past few months Character Eight has had the privilege of contracting with Thomas Road Baptist Church of Lynchburg, Virginia. Thomas Road is best known for it’s founder – Jerry Falwell – and their booming university, Liberty University. As a graduate of Liberty University, I was ecstatic to join the design team at TRBC and help out in any way possible.
In the past decade Thomas Road has expanded outside of the Lynchburg area and has become a multi-campus church. Their Roanoke Campus – Crossroads Church – continues the mission to serve their community, proclaim the Gospel, and live lives that proclaim, “Not I, But Christ”.
This particular project was contracted for the children’s community at Crossroads – Kid Central. In the celebration of the close of summer, Crossroads has invited their young elementary families out to their campus in Roanoke to enjoy a night full of fun water games. Character Eight’s part in this project was to create a promotional handout and screen graphic to let the congregation know about this fun event and encourage them to invite others.
These vector pieces were a blast to put together and joyfully communicates the event’s purpose while capturing a kid-friendly tone.
