The Shepard and Scheps families have been friends of my family since I was a young girl. Both families have children around my age and we spent countless hours together when we were kids. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to create invitations for the summer wedding of two of their children, Holly & Jason.
Holly and Jason have known each other their whole lives as their parents have been close friends. The young couple were engaged in the spring of 2016 and are planning a large summer wedding in Lapeer, Michigan in August.
The 5×7, double-sided invitation includes an engagement photo of the couple with a modern color overlay to match their summer wedding theme. The backside requests the attendance of close friends and family members to join in this momentous occasion. While sticking with the modern theme, we chose a fun, whimsical script font that displays the character of the couple and sets the tone for a wedding celebration. With several hundred guests on the list, the couple opted for their guests to reply via email rather than the traditional response card.
We had fun designing this invitation for Holly and Jason. We wish them the best as they begin their new life together this summer!
